We are seeking an CT Technologist - Imaging Services - Under general direction performs a variety of CT procedures at a skilled technical level requiring the ability to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis.

In this position you will:

  • Organize, plans and directs activities relating to patients and procedures for designated time and area. Maintains steady workflow ensuring a complete, accurate and timely work product

  • Demonstrate computer science knowledge and principles related to CT scanning and films according to approved protocols

  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of imaging equipment and computer software necessary to perform studies. Calibrates imaging system as required per guidelines

  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of all equipment within the department. Selects appropriate equipment and applies immobilization devices as required for patient safety

  • Assist Physician with special procedures. Practices sterile technique and prevents cross contamination to patient and instruments

  • Perform and/or assists with CT procedures according to approved department procedure manual

  • Prepare and reviews films in PACS for interpretation by a radiologist for positioning, technique, identification and quality. Retrieves and calls report to physician, floor, surgery and ER upon request

  • Practice sterile technique and prevents cross contamination to patients and instruments

  • Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills and uses film markers properly

  • Provide radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards

  • Assist in training and guidance of radiology students.

  • Review patient questionnaire and request for physician notes and/or special instructions. Consults with Radiologist and patient if necessary to assure safety and appropriateness

  • Verifies patient identification by verbal communication, ID band, etc

  • Recognize emergency situations, initiates code and administers aid as needed

  • Assist with ordering and stocking of supplies and equipment

  • Keep room/work area neat, orderly and prepared with supplies necessary to complete exams

  • Willingly performs other related duties outside immediate work area as assigned or required (i.e., filing, transport, clerical)


  • Record pertinent patient information and completes all paperwork as required and assists in maintaining files. Sort’s patient files and reports timely, accurate and concise per department policies

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital information system, computer-based systems, and Meditech

  • Demonstrate awareness of legal issues and compliance in respect to patient care. Maintains complete confidentiality of all patient and hospital related information. Secures and handles patient records maintaining patient confidentiality with respect to patient and family rights


  • Leads by example in demonstrated work ethic.

  • Attendance: reports to work each regularly scheduled workday. Accurately records all work time including meal periods

  • Punctuality: Ready for work at precise starting time and continues working until scheduled departure time. Returns on time from all meal periods

  • Appearance: Projects a professional image, follows the hospital dress code policy and/or department requirements. Wears hospital name badge at all times on duty

  • General Work Habits: Readily accepts work assignments in a positive manner. Performs work that is accurate, neat and consistent. Documentation is legible

  • Assist and provide orientation/training of new employees and students


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiological Technology Or equivalent educ/experience in approved A.M.A. program.

  • Valid California State Certification License in unlimited diagnostic radiology services

  • Venipuncture certificate and documented competency

  • CPR Certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Valid CT Certification License
